Healthy Mouth...Healthy Body

There are an overwhelming number of studies showing that your oral health is related to your body's overall health.  If you mouth isn't  healthy, you may be twice as likely to die from a heart attack, 3 times more likely to die from a stroke and evn 4-7 times more likely to die if you have diabetes.   Additionally, you may be 63% more likely to develop pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest forms of cancer.  Clearly, oral health (or lack thereof) has life and death consequences.
Here's some good news, times are drastically changing for the better with the addition of new medical tests available in dental offices and used to communicate with physicians in a language they understand.  These test can help bridge the gap between the two professions.

  2. This is a good common sense Blog. Very helpful to one who is just finding the resources about this part. It will certainly help educate me.
